Hi, I'm Dayna, a compassionate counselling psychologist practicing in Claremont, Cape Town.

Whether you are struggling with relationships, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, familial struggles, identity, adjustment, stress, career uncertainty, relationship challenges, child behavioural issues, bereavement/grief, trauma, or challenges that life has dealt you, allow me to support you through it. This is not something you have to navigate alone.

Specialising in medium to long-term therapies, I take an integrative approach to meet the individual needs and goals of clients of all ages, including children (5 years old and up), adolescents, adults, and older persons. This includes individual, couples, and family sessions. I also provide psychological assessment and psychometric testing.

I firmly believe that everyone should have access to psychotherapy if they are open to it. It is one of the most rewarding acts you can do for yourself (even though it can feel daunting at first). Methods
Dayna conducts psychotherapy from a person-centred perspective and uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy as her main modalities. However, Dayna integrates various therapeutic modalities to address the interconnected aspects of an individual's well-being.

Degrees & Experience
Dayna holds an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree (Psychology & English), an Honours Degree in Psychology, and Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from The University of Johannesburg. Dayna has worked in a hospital setting, a University setting, and in private practice where she has acquired valuable skills and knowledge to support individuals in their mental health journey.

Dayna is a registered counselling psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (PS0159646).
